About the EG Chamber Orchestra
The Elk Grove High School Chamber Orchestra is a group of highly motivated orchestra students who perform advanced string orchestra literature of a variety of musical styles. The members of Chamber Orchestra work frequently with guest conductors from throughout the Midwest, as well as participate in regular coaching sessions with local professional musicians and chamber ensembles.
Chamber Orchestra members also frequently perform at local gigs and community events throughout the school year and summer months. For more information or to arrange for the EGHS Chamber Orchestra members to perform at your community event, please email [email protected].
Rehearsals & Membership Requirements:
Chamber Orchestra meets year-round during zero hour (7:05-8:05am), on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students receive class credit for their participation in the group. Membership in Chamber Orchestra is open to all orchestra students in grades 9-12 who are also enrolled in either Concert or Symphony Orchestra. Auditions take place each May for the following school year.
